Welcome to our Winter Quarter!!!!!  We are going to be studying in the Old Testament about Moses & the Israelites. And also each week we will learn a characteristic about God.

 

Dec. 4^th, 2011                                                                      God Cares  (characteristic #1)

Exodus 1:1-2:10

God cared for Moses and he protected him. God also cares for us and the details of our lives.
And he has a plan for each of us, just like he did Moses

 

Dec. 11^th, 2011                                                                      God plans  (characteristic #2)

Ex. 2:11-4:18

God did not accept Moses’ excuses for not following His direction, and
he WILL NOT accept ours either!!!!

 

Dec. 18^th, 2011                                                                     God guides  (characteristic #3)

Ex. 5:1-6:13; 7:1-13

We choose every day whether to follow God’s guidance or go our own way!!

The more you are dependent upon God (trust him) to meet your needs, the more you will look for Him to meet those needs

This week we are studying the 10 commandments & learning why God gave them….

Leviticus 19:1-37; 26:1-17

Because God is our judge, we MUST hate sin & realize its punishment.

February 5^th, 2012                                                             God rewards  (characteristic #10)

Numbers 13:1-14:45

God rewards obedience and gives courage to obey him.

 

February 12^th, 2012                                                       God disciplines  (characteristic #11)

Numbers 20:2-13; Deuteronomy 3:23-29

Learn importance of TOTAL obedience and consequence of sin

 

February 19^th, 2012                                                                  God rules  (characteristic #12)

Numbers 22:1-24:25

Knowing God Rules, we are to submit to His authority

 

February 26^th, 2012                                                                 God leads  (characteristic #13)

Deuteronomy 5:23-6:25

God is in Heaven, but He still leads us through His Word, the great treasure, the Bible.
